The numbing sensation of sansho pepper becomes addictive in this fiery mapo noodles! ~ROUSOKUYA~

It’s been ages since I encountered ramen with such immense impact! It’s ROUSOKUYA. If you’re a fan of sansho pepper, you absolutely must go!!

蝋燭屋

Though near the Omiya station, it stands quietly tucked away in a somewhat quiet residential area. Upon entering, I was surprised! There was quite a queue… First, you buy a meal ticket, then queue by the stairs.

For the most popular mapo noodles, I chose the standard spiciness? (as it was the middle option) – level 2.

蝋燭屋

The moment I took a bite… it tingled!!!! What on earth is this!!! I’ve eaten plenty of mapo tofu before, but this is the first time I’ve experienced such a persistent, tingling sensation. The mapo tofu is wonderfully spicy and delicious, and it pairs perfectly with noodles. It goes brilliantly with rice too.

It’s an irresistible flavour for anyone who loves sansho pepper~~!!!! You’ll definitely get hooked.

Three carefully selected seasonings. I was so overwhelmed by the numbing sensation that I couldn’t imagine adding any more spice or heat, lol
