Seafood & Tapas LUBINA is a casual Spanish restaurant located on the restaurant in Hibiya Midtown’s 2nd floor. It has a bright atmosphere with a large window from which you can see the greenery of Hibiya Park. This time, I visited for lunch. The staff at the restaurant is friendly and helpful, and you will have a pleasant time.
Lunch menu
Gazpacho, pintxos, and tapas are served first. The gazpacho of the day was strawberry. Along with the sweet aroma of strawberries, it contained tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and olive oil. Since it was a hot day, this refreshing soup was very tasty. On the skewers are pintxos. On this day, it was mackerel. I think the tapas was a bean salad. All of them were well seasoned and would go well with alcohol. They were delicious.
Paella or Paasta
You can choose either paella or pasta for lunch. My friend had squid ink pasta with risoni pasta. Risoni means “big rice” in Italian, and this short pasta looks like a large grain of rice. It is delicious mixed with squid ink and karasumi (dried mullet roe).
I ordered a paella with seasonal vegetables. It was served in a paella pan for one person. I had it with a squeeze of lemon for a refreshing taste.
The pasta looked like rice and was very chewy and delicious. The squid ink pasta, arroz catalana, which I love, was also addictive.
Dessert
Dessert was lemon cake and matcha ice cream. The matcha ice cream was bitter taste. The lemon cake was a refreshing flavor filled with lemon. Both were delicious.
You can choose tea or coffee to go with them. The tea bowl was cute, so I turned the saucer over and looked at it, and the server said to me, “It’s made in Portugal, isn’t it cute?” I had a strong image of Portugal as a pottery country, but they have cute porcelain tableware, too. I was talking with the server and forgot to take a picture.
Various types of seating
There were various types of seating, including a kitchen counter where you could enjoy a drink standing, sofa seating, and terrace seating with a view of the outside. Please try going there depending on the scene of use. The terrace seating is nice like this. Unfortunately, it was not available because it was full of reservations.
The service was excellent and we had a very pleasant time. At the Hibiya Midtown, there are many restaurants, but if you want to have a good meal, I recommend you to spend a relaxing time here. After watching a movie in the Hibiya Midtown, or if you are wondering where to go when the weather is bad, this is a good place to visit because it is directly connected to the subway station.
