A French friend visiting Japan told me they couldn’t forget the curry they bought during their last trip here. They wanted to buy it again but didn’t know how.
They seemed to have forgotten where they bought it last time. They found the Japanese website but couldn’t figure out how to buy it since everything was in Japanese.
It seems they were selling online via a site called “Shimane no Jigemon” (click here). Honestly… it would be incredibly difficult for foreigners visiting on vacation to buy this… You can also purchase it from the official Izumo Spice Lab website (click here).
I tried buying some myself and made chicken curry. It definitely has a rich, spicy flavor and heat that sets it apart from regular Japanese curry. It tastes authentic. It’s delicious~.
