Recently, I went to Kawagoe, which is rapidly gaining popularity. Walking through the old streets of Kawagoe, known as Little Edo, will give you a nostalgic feeling.
It all started with a request from a Taiwanese friend who said, “I want to go to Kawagoe!” Kawagoe seems to be a hot topic in Taiwan recently.
My friend told me that there are many Taiwanese people all over Kawagoe. It seems that the only people speaking Chinese were Taiwanese.
This is actually my second time, but the first time was for health reasons! ? I walked from the station to the sightseeing spot. It’s surprisingly far away. From Kawagoe Station to the main street…
It took about 25 minutes to walk, but the actual distance felt like over 30 minutes. . . Personally, I wanted to walk through Little Edo from the beginning. . .
It was mentally exhausting to walk all the way to the sightseeing spots.
Bus is definitely recommended! ! !
If you take the bus, it will take you about 10 minutes! ! Moreover, there are quite a lot of them. We recommend the Tobu Bus one-day pass (400 yen)!
The one-way ticket costs 210 yen, so the round trip pays for itself. It’s even better if you visit some remote locations.
*One-day tickets for the Koedo Shuttle Bus are also available for 500 yen. The buses are stylish, but they run less frequently.
I bought it at the tourist information center at Kawagoe Station!
Of course it’s good for your health, but if you’ve come all the way to sightsee, it’s definitely better to walk down the main street when you’re at your most energetic! ! ! I was convinced this time.
