How about a great tea caddy as a Farewell present?

茶筒 Present in English

One of the most appreciated gifts I have ever given to a friend from abroad was a tea canister!

。I bought this tea caddy (bottom right) at a shop in Kappa Yokocho called ‘Japanese tableware “Dengama” and fell in love at first sight. It is no exaggeration to say that Japanese people fall in love with cherry blossoms! Many overseas visitors also loves cherry blossoms.

This tea caddy is a traditional Japanese wood craft called Kaba-zaiku (樺細工), which originated in Kakunodate, Akita. They are made from cherry bark!

The texture is very good, the cherry blossom pattern is drawn on it, and the fact that it is a traditional handicraft made from cherry blossom bark also makes it a gift that impressed our foreign friends.

It seems that various types of tea caddies can be ordered online, so why don’t you give them as gifts to your family and friends?
