I had lunch at FANCL Brown Rice Meals on the B1 floor of the FANCL Building in Ginza. It was absolutely delicious. Amazingly, every single menu item is gluten-free! They serve authentic Italian cuisine that tastes amazing, all while being completely gluten-free with no wheat flour used at all.

Brown rice Italian
Operated by FANCL, a company specializing in additive-free cosmetics and health foods, the menu caters not only to those with wheat allergies but also to anyone seeking healthy dining options. When I visited, the two people seated next to me were enthusiastically discussing traditional Chinese medicine, Kanpo. The chic color scheme of the interior also makes it a great spot for a relaxing meal.

Menu
The menu is written in both Japanese and English, so overseas customers can easily understand and choose their dishes. Additionally, the restaurant’s philosophy and explanations about brown rice and fresh pasta all included translations. The restaurant was filled with many international guests, all enjoying their meals in a relaxed atmosphere.

Today’s Lunch
This is the appetizer plate. It features a 10-item fresh vegetable salad, today’s appetizer, today’s soup, soy (soy milk) whipped cream, and Fancl’s kale and banana mixed juice. The salad was especially delicious.

For the main course, you choose one from five options. I chose the pasta. It was homemade brown rice pasta, with a brownish hue. It had an incredibly smooth texture—hard to believe it contained no wheat flour. I was amazed that pasta could be made from 100% brown rice.

A wonderful restaurant where you can enjoy meals packed with vegetables to beautify your body from the inside out. Perfect for gluten-free guests, of course, but also ideal when your stomach is feeling tired. You can relax here. It’s a popular spot, so reservations are recommended.
The location is right in front of the UNIQLO Ginza flagship store. It’s also just a short walk from the Ginza 4-chome intersection. Who knew there was such a wonderful restaurant in the basement of the Fancl Building? That’s Ginza for you.
