Inside the Hoki Museum that I introduced the other day, there is a really great Italian restaurant! It’s Restaurant Hanau. As you’d expect from an art museum, the Italian food is not only delicious but also fun to look at! The quality is very high and it’s very popular, so reservations are a must!
After visiting a wonderful art museum, be sure to have a great meal as well! We hope that for overseas visitors will experience the double high quality of the art museum and Italian food.
Below is a look at Hanau’s restaurant. Realistic paintings of fruit are casually displayed. It’s very stylish. This time, I was the first to not only visit the museum, but also the restaurant!
The lunch pasta set!
It’s a very popular restaurant, so we made a reservation in advance! As expected, the sign said that they were fully booked for today! I’m so glad we made a reservation! First, the appetizers! They were beautifully colored and delicious!
It was whelks, green peas, and dried mullet roe in an olive sauce! It was so delicious. Personally, it was the first time I’d ever had whelks in pasta, so it was a very refreshing experience. The crunchy texture and saltiness of the whelks accentuated the overall flavor and went perfectly with the tomatoes and green peas. And the dried mullet roe powder softly enveloped the whole dish.
It was a fantastic pasta!!!
The accompanying dish was pancetta, cherry tomatoes, and marjoram. I had a bite, and it had a mellow tomato-based flavor! This was also delicious.
The dessert was pistachio ice cream and tiramisu topped with strawberry sauce, a very fruity treat that gave off a spring vibe!!!
The lunch pasta menu
There was a choice of pasta and gratin, and they all looked delicious!! You could also add a main dish!!! After the meal, you could choose coffee or tea, and enjoyed a very leisurely lunch course!!!
It was a truly luxurious day, eating delicious Italian food while soaking in the afterglow of the museum!!!
Be sure to combine it with the Hoki Museum to create the best day ever!!!
