Shinjuku is a bustling, energetic city, but nestled within it all, I found this wonderful Japanese restaurant called Kintsugi. You will absolutely love it!

What is Kintsugi?
The restaurant’s name comes from the traditional Japanese technique “kintsugi.” It embodies a distinctly Japanese sensibility: repairing broken pottery with gold, embracing the “traces of damage” as beauty. This concept is clearly reflected in the restaurant’s atmosphere and cuisine, allowing guests to enjoy a leisurely meal in a calm space.

Seasonal Modern Kaiseki Cuisine
Traditional yet with a touch of modern flair, both visually and in taste, it’s incredibly refined. The appeal lies in the seasonal delights, and the group next to us apparently visits every season.
The course begins with “dashi soup.”

After that, delicious dishes came out one by one, each accompanied by a thoughtful explanation. They were so incredibly tasty, and the conversation was so enjoyable, that I completely forgot to take pictures.

Naturally, their selection of alcoholic beverages is extensive, and I recommend pairing food with their sake and wine. Enjoy discovering how well they complement their dishes, and conversation will flow naturally.

The staff are perfectly fluent in English
The staff are very courteous and speak English, so no worry for language. They explain the dishes clearly and can spark conversations about Japanese food culture, making for great memories.
A special night in Shinjuku
Easy access from Yotsuya Sancho-me Station makes it perfect for a break during sightseeing or for dinner. In the heart of the bustling city, you can relax and enjoy a special time in the peaceful space of Arakicho. It’s the kind of place that makes your feel, “Japan is really great.”
Stay tuned for more updates of Japan. See you soon!
