I would like to introduce classic Japanese confectionery! This is Apollo Chocolate, a classic chocolate that I am sure there is no one in Japan who does not know about it. Along with the marble chocolate I introduced earlier, it is a long-selling product sold by Meiji.
It has strawberry flavored chocolate on top and milk chocolate on the bottom, and the ratio is perfect. The flavor is not too strawberry, but the milk chocolate wraps around the strawberry in a nice way, giving it a fresh and elegant taste.
This Apollo Chocolate, marketed by Meiji, has been on the market since 1969. It has been sitting in the corner of the confectionery corner for more than half a century as a major player. The motif of the chocolate seems to be the Apollo 11 command module, which returned to the moon in the same year after the first successful landing of mankind on the moon.
