The other day, when I wasn’t feeling well, I shared a recipe for ume-gayu (rice porridge with pickled plums), which is great when your stomach is upset. But if your sick-day meals lack variety, you’ll get bored. So today, I’d like to share the second installment of my “gentle meals” series!
It’s Quick Zousui(a little rice porridge)! It’s so delicious to make a flavorful zousui to finish off a hot pot meal, isn’t it? But if you’re thinking, “I don’t have time to go through all that trouble!”—that’s when I recommend “Quick Zousui”! It’s sold at convenience stores and other places. Just use this zousui mix, and all you need to do is prepare some rice, an egg, and a pot—and you’re all set!
It’s perfect for when you’re tired of plain rice porridge and want something with a little more flavor! It has a gentle, comforting taste.
This is definitely a dish you’ll want to keep in mind!
