The source of the water is spring water from Mount Fuji, and the Kakitagawa River is one of Japan’s three major clear rivers (the other two are the Shimanto River in Kochi Prefecture and the Nagara River in Gifu Prefecture). At Kakitagawa Park, there is a spot where the spring water shimmers like emerald green jewels!!! There is also a café where you can enjoy tofu and coffee made with this spring water, allowing you to fully savor the beautiful and delicious water.
Japan is a country blessed with abundant water. In particular, the spring water from Mount Fuji is something I would like overseas visitors to see. And I hope they will drink and enjoy it!!

Highlights of Kakita River Park! Compact but packed with attractions!
There is a park in the middle of town that serves as a place of relaxation for citizens. And the cherry blossoms were in bloom!
There is an observation deck, a plaza, and a café. You can walk around and see everything! You can also bring an empty plastic bottle and fill it with spring water.
There are many places to explore.

First, cherry blossoms welcomed us at the parking lot! (We went in early March!)

Walking from the parking lot, you will soon see cafes and souvenir shops.

I ordered mapo tofu made with tofu made from spring water!
I ordered mapo tofu! You can also order tofu steak, boiled tofu, chilled tofu, soy milk, pancakes, and more! The tofu is transparent and has a fresh taste that is very delicious. The mapo tofu is spicy and tastes great. The red miso soup is also delicious!
The water served at the restaurant was also delicious.

There were several other shops as well! Coffee and tofu ice cream also seem to be local specialties.

Anyway, go to the second observation deck! You can see the emerald green color.
The main attraction is, without a doubt, the spring water visible from the second observation deck. It seems that it was once used as a well for a spinning mill, but the sunlight and sand create such a beautiful color. It’s incredibly beautiful. It’s a mesmerizing color.

It’s only about 20 minutes from the Shizuoka Museum of Ceramic Art, so please come and visit!
It’s a great spot where you can see, drink, and eat water from Mount Fuji.
Stay tuned for more updates of Japan. See you soon!
