As I mentioned in a previous post (here), the mapo tantan noodles at the Chinese restaurant in Tamachi and Mita are absolutely delicious. I’ve confirmed that the quality is as good as ever. Here’s another shout-out!
The rich, indescribable sesame flavor and just the right amount of spice! (I’d say it’s on the spicy side.) Plus, there are chunks of soft tofu in the dish, and they soak up the broth perfectly—it’s so good.
The noodles are neither too thick nor too thin—just right—and it feels like a combination that’s been meticulously crafted to perfectly complement these tan tan noodles.
In short, it’s an addictive flavor. I visit regularly. I often see people coming here specifically for this mapo tantan noodles. It’s delicious no matter the season—summer, winter, or anything in between~~~.
You absolutely must try this sophisticated yet unpretentious mapo tofu! I’d love for international visitors to give it a try, too. You’ll definitely get hooked!
