I was amazed at the distance of fish and the clarity of the sea in Miyako Island! It is a natural aquarium. We boarded a semi-submersible underwater sightseeing boat, “Seasky Hakuai.
Miyako Island is an island further south than the main island of Okinawa that has not yet been run by overseas visitors. I would love to see you step into this place. You can enjoy the spectacular view of Miyako blue and see wild fishes up close.
Make a reservation on the web and meet at the Sea Sky Hakubai reception office at the Miyaguni Hakubai Fishing Port 20 minutes before boarding time. This facility is located in the Shiragiri Resort. If you come to Miyako Island, you should definitely take a ride on this boat.
Immediately after boarding, take the stairs to the bottom of the ship!
The sea is so clear and the fishes are so close! And. The white stuff is coral reefs, and many fish are swimming freely. You can almost touch them.
I wasted no time taking pictures and just watched. There were even sea turtles! It was so much fun to look for the wide variety of fish with my eyes. Many of the fish were swimming alongside Seasky Expeditions (remembering to sow their food at the end), and they were really right in front of us. It was breathtaking.
I found out about it because I was staying at the Shiragiri Resort hotel, but you can also ride it if you make a reservation even if you are not a hotel guest! There is a small discount for hotel guests.
If you come to Miyako Island, you should definitely take the boat!
