It’s pricey, but the taste is worth it—Chen’s Mapo Tofu at Ginza Aster

I just have to eat some delicious mapo tofu!!!!! You absolutely must go to Ginza Aster.
For mapo tofu, of all things!? It’s pricey… (2,640 yen), but it’s delicious. It has a rich flavor and just the right amount of spice. The Sichuan pepper really comes through, the ground meat is juicy, and it’s just so good.

I often find that when I randomly walk into a Chinese restaurant, their mapo tofu either has too much potato starch or isn’t spicy enough—and I end up thinking, “This just isn’t right…” But Ginza Aster never lets me down.
