When you think of Japanese people, you think of rice and miso soup! When you go abroad, you really start to miss miso soup, don’t you? Instant miso soup is easy to find at supermarkets and other stores—it’s great that you can enjoy it anywhere. I really hope foreigners will come to love miso soup, too—why not pick some up as a souvenir to take home?
My personal favorite is “Ryotei no Aji: Shijimi.” It’s infused with the rich flavor of shijimi clam broth and is absolutely delicious. I’ll never forget having rice and this shijimi miso soup one morning while camping years ago. It’s so good. Please, please give it a try!
