Manyo Park is a popular park near Yugawara Hotsprings in Kanagawa Prefecture. Close to New WelCity Yugawara. This is a town-run city park with the theme of Yugawara Onsen. It is selected as an one of the 100 historical parks in Japan. Admission is free. It is a great spot for visitors who want to relax.
The name Manyo Park comes from the fact that Yugawara Onsen is the only place mentioned in a waka poem in the Manyoshu. Reopening in 2021, the park has two parts: the entrance terrace and Yugawara Soyu.
Park Terrace, suitable for working vacation
The entrance terrace has a tourist information center, cafe, footbath, and co-working space. Books can be read freely on the terrace. There are many wonderful books available. In the bright, open coworking space, you’ll be able to work imaginatively with new ideas. I’m sure you will be happy to work from here, finding it more efficient! It’s even the perfect place for a workday.
A walking path is provided. And there are plenty of relaxing spaces along the river. Sit in a nice chair and enjoy a forest bath. Refresh yourself while listening to the sound of the river flow.
Writers’ Path
It’s a great place to relax, or to think about the great writers who loved Yugawara while walking along the writers’ path.
Yugawara Soyu Books and Retreat
Then you will arrive at the day-trip hot spring facility “Yugawara Soyu Books and Retreat” (Soyu Terrace). This place is wonderful! As the name suggests, it is a space where you can read and refresh. Relaxation space or your dream is here. You can enjoy a day with the hot springs, food, and reading. Occasionally yoga lessons are also held.
A hot spring fed directly from the source, surrounded by trees and the sound of a river flow. Of course, there is also an open-air bath. Under the sunlight, your heart will be freed. There’s also a sauna and hot and cold showers. It is best to make a reservation in advance to ensure entry. Meals inspired by the blessings of the season are also provided.
of course! There is also a space where you can relax and read. Why not visit to a place where they can sit in a specially designed chair and read?
