Last time, I told you about the opening of Ichiran in Omiya, Saitama. I mentioned it was a hidden gem, but it might not be one anymore… sigh I went there outside of lunchtime, but… there was a huge line… I can really feel everyone’s enthusiasm for Ichiran.
I was totally shocked to see a mom carrying one child in a baby carrier, pushing another in a stroller, and holding the third by the hand—all three of them in tow!!!!! This is proof that her craving for Ichiran was stronger than the effort required to wait in line for hours with three kids. Oh my gosh—I totally get it. It is delicious, after all.
Finally, we made it to Ichiran’s one and only menu item: Tonkotsu Ramen
It’s still sooooooooooooooo good!! It’s so delicious that I end up drinking every last drop of the broth every time.
They’ve maintained this popularity by sticking to just this one tonkotsu ramen. Or maybe it’s precisely because they stick to just this one that they’re so popular!?
It’s Ichiran—a place I’m willing to wait in line for, no matter what.
